End of Elections

Too much Toronto in my last post, especially for someone based in Ottawa.

Ottawa Citizen Election Highlights

Joanne Chianello dissects The Fall and Fall of Larry O’Brien. This should be read by Ottawans and anyone with a basic interest in municipal politics or campaigns in general.

Mohammed Adam wrote about the Watson campaign machine.

Ken Gray on how amalgamation still affects Ottawa today.

Dave Reevely on Alex Cullen’s departure from council.

Ottawa Start has a quick, bullet-point reflection on the election.

And so ends my election coverage.

UPDATE: I almost (but only almost!) forgot Josh Greenberg, an associate professor at Carleton, did a great social media breakdown for the election day.

My 2010 municipal election coverage is really over this time.
